How does a Disney Vacation Club membership work?

DVC membership uses a points-based system to offer uniquely flexible access to the Club’s participating resorts and accommodations.

This is how it works:

1. Purchase a real estate interest in a DVC member resort, which will be considered your Home Resort.Contact The Timeshare Store, Inc. today to ask about our Disney Vacation Club packages. You can also read more about how you can join the DVC in our Buyer Guide.
2. Access to your Home Resort includes a Priority Period, which lets you reserve your accommodations as early as 11 months before your vacation. Reservations at other DVC Resorts can be booked up to 7 months in advance.
3. Vacation Points represent your real estate interest at the DVC Resorts and can be used to book accommodations. The number of Vacation Points required to make a reservation varies depending on the resort, the type of accommodation, the time of year, and the length of your stay.
4. Vacation Points are allotted to members annually in periods called Use Years. Your Use Years are based on when you purchase your ownership interest.Members are allowed to bank Vacation Points, which means moving points from their current Use Year to the next. Conversely, members can borrow future Vacation Points and use it in the current year. Vacation Points can also be transferred to other members.

   Members can increase their real estate ownership interest by buying Add On Vacation Points.
