Grand Californian Villas Rooms

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is currently the smallest Disney Vacation Club property, making it incredibly difficult to both own and visit due to its popularity. In contrast, the rooms at the Grand Californian represent some of the largest found at any DVC Resort. The resort offers a total of 71 rooms, ranging from Deluxe Studio accommodations to Three-Bedroom Grand Villas. Although no specific room view categories are available, several villas feature fantastic views of Disney’s California Adventure theme park.


Deluxe Studio

Deluxe Studio accommodations sleep up to four adults and are quite spacious in size. Each villa features one queen-size bed, one queen-size sleeper sofa, a small kitchenette, one bathroom, and a small porch or balcony.

One-Bedroom Villa

The One-Bedroom Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa feature one king-size bed, a queen-size sleeper sofa, and one single pull-down trundle bed, sleeping up to five adults. A full kitchen, two full bathrooms, washing machine and dryer, and private porch or balcony are also included.

Dedicated Two-Bedroom Villa

Two-Bedroom Villas at the Grand Californian are also generous in size and can comfortably sleep up to nine adults. Each villa features one king-size bed, two queen-size beds, one queen-size sleeper sofa, and one single pull-down trundle bed. The rooms also include three full bathrooms, a full kitchen, washing machine and dryer, and a private porch or balcony.

Two-Bedroom Lock-Off Villa

Alternatively, Two-Bedroom Lock-Off Villas are also available, which are a combination of a Deluxe Studio and a One-Bedroom Villa. These rooms also sleep up to nine adults and feature one king-size bed, one queen-size bed, two queen-size sleeper sofas, and one single pull-down trundle bed. A full kitchen, three bathrooms, and a washing machine and dryer are also included, as well as a private porch or balcony.

Three-Bedroom Grand Villa

The Three-Bedroom Grand Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are the most spacious rooms you will find at the resort. Each villa sleeps up to twelve adults and features a master bedroom with one king-size bed, two additional bedrooms, each with two queen-size beds, one queen-size sleeper sofa, and one double-size sleeper sofa. A full kitchen, four full bathrooms, a washing machine and dryer, and a private porch or balcony round out this two-story villa.

Vacation Points for The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa start at 17 points per night for Deluxe Studios, and overall represent a good value for the resorts location and amenities. One-Bedroom Villas and Two Bedroom Villas start at 31 and 46 vacation points per night, respectfully, while Three-Bedroom Grand Villas begin at 94 points per night.

Annual Dues

2024 The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Annual Dues: $8.55 per point

Annual Dues or “maintenance fees” are paid yearly by Disney Vacation Club Members. These costs vary by resort and help cover real estate taxes, operating expenses, and administrative expenses for each resort.


Dining and Restaurants

Quick-Service:

GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill: Grab’ N’ Go and counter-service American Cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Located near the resort’s pool, the bar also offers a variety of signature cocktails and small bites.


Casual Dining:

Storytellers Cafe: A buffet breakfast or family-style dinner is served at this relaxed dining location. Inspired by traditional Californian fare, the restaurant offers an array of different flavors and dishes to suit every palate.

Guests can also enjoy a character dining experience for breakfast or brunch, as outlined below. Please note, characters will not be present at Dinner service.


Character Dining:

Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast & Brunch Buffet at Storytellers Cafe: Join Mickey and some of his closest friends for a traditional breakfast buffet, which includes made-to-order omelets and more. A little later in the day, Mickey and the gang will also offer upper up a medley of amazing dishes, including the same breakfast foods, as well as a rotating menu of daily lunch specials.

Disney’s Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose: Enjoy a special three-course breakfast as a variety of Disney Princesses share an enchanting morning with you and your family. This character dining experience features a variety of themed activities, photo opportunities, and a special keepsake for each guest.


Fine/Signature Dining:

Napa Rose: Award-winning signature restaurant showcasing the natural beauty of the Golden State. This menu utilizes the region’s freshest ingredients to inspire and prepare each dish in the restaurant’s open-air kitchen. Napa Rose also features an extensive regional wine list, with sommeliers on hand to help pair the perfect meal.


In-Room Dining:

In-room dining options are also available to guests 24-hours daily. Menus within your DVC Villa will showcase the wide variety of American favorites and specialty items available at your resort.


Lounges:

Hearthstone Lounge: Cozy lodge-style hotel lounge located next to the resorts main lobby offering a full bar and small menu, including a variety of artisanal pizzas.

Napa Rose Lounge: Open nightly from starting at 4:30 pm, guests can enjoy a small appetizer, beverage, or elegant meal, featuring food from its signature restaurant Napa Rose. No reservation is required. 


Shopping

Acorn Gifts & Goods: Disneyland Resort souvenirs, Disney Vacation Club merchandise, apparel, snacks, and sundries.


Pools and Amenities

Members and guests can choose from three relaxing pools during their stay at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The Fountain Pool, Mariposa Pool, and the Redwood Pool are all located in a central courtyard and feature a pool slide, kids area, and two whirlpool spas.

As defined by its name, the resort is also well known for its signature spa services. The Tenaya Stone Spa (Opening Spring 2020) is inspired by “the spirit of nature and California heritage” and invites members and guests to relax, unwind, and recharge. The spa features a variety of treatments, including facials, massage, and salon services. 

Guests at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa can also take advantage of the following amenities:

Transportation

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are located just a short walk away from Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. The resort also features a dedicated entrance into California Adventure that is exclusive to guests.
