Disney’s New Island Tower at The Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

Everyone is excited about the new Island Tower at The Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, the newest DVC Resort. The resort will open on December 17th, 2024, offering 268 DVC villas. We wanted to share some upcoming key dates and information that would be helpful to all DVC members or those looking to become one.

Key Dates Leading Up to the Opening Day

Polynesian DVC members who purchased a contract at the new Island Tower expansion may start booking reservations for the Island Tower on October 15th, 2024. Additionally, any Polynesian Villas and Bungalows member (whether purchased direct or resale) can begin booking reservations on October 15th.

Then, on October 29th, non-DVC members may purchase at the Island Tower. Starting on November 5th, those new DVC members can book at the Island Tower. Finally, on November 19th, all other DVC members may reserve rooms at the Island Tower. So, a lot is happening during the next four weeks. Then, finally, on December 17th, the Island Tower hosts its first guests as the resort officially opens.

Date Breakdown:

October 1st – Any existing Polynesian DVC Member can purchase an add-on contract at the new Island Tower at Polynesian.
October 15th – New and Existing Polynesian Members can start booking at the new Island Tower
October 29th – General Public can purchase at the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Island Tower
November 5th – October 29th, new owners at Polynesian can begin booking at the Island Tower
November 19th – All existing DVC Members can start booking at the Island Tower
December 17th – The Island Tower opens to all Disney guests

Initial Opening Price

Disney’s opening price at the Island Tower is $225 per point, and Disney is offering various incentives for DVC Members. The current incentives vary between $0 and $17 per point, depending on the size of the contract/points you purchase. Below are the direct sales incentives Disney is currently offering.

• 50 – 99 points – No Discount – $225 per point.
• 100 -124 points – No Discount – $225 per point.
• 125 – 149 points – No Discount – $225 per point.
• 150 – 199 points – $10/pt. Discount – $215 per point.
• 200 – 249 points – $13/pt. Discount – $212 per point.
• 250 – 299 points – $14/pt. Discount – $211 per point.
• 300 – 499 points – $15/pt. Discount – $210 per point.
• 500 – 999 points – $16/pt. Discount – $209 per point.
• 1000+ points – $17/pt. Discount – $208 per point.

Resale prices for Polynesian Villas & Bungalows average between $165 and $185, which would save a potential buyer as much as $60 per point off Disney’s direct prices. The resale packages can also be used at the new Island Tower since the Island Tower is part of the same association as the Polynesian Villas and Bungalows. This means the new tower will not be restricted from use if you purchase a resale package.

Different Room Option Categories

The new 10-story resort expansion will offer five-room size configurations and four room view categories. Which are:

Room Size & Accommodations:

Duo Studios – sleeps up to two
Deluxe Studios – sleeps up to four
One-bedroom villas – sleeps up to five
Two-bedroom villas – sleep up to nine
Two-bedroom penthouse Villas – sleeps up to eight

Room View Options:

Standard View – Garden and/or parking lot view
Premium View – view of Seven Lakes Lagoon
Preferred View – partial views of lake, pool, or golf course
Theme Park View – partial view of Magic Kingdom
