Club Level at Animal Kingdom Lodge
Recently my husband and I stayed Club Level at Animal Kingdom Lodge located on the Jambo House side of the resort. What an experience! We were greeted outside the lobby upon check in ( the Cast Member even had a sign saying “Welcome Chapman Safari”) then escorted up to the sixth floor which is the Club Level. We were given a welcome package that included treats from The Ganachery, times guide for the parks and a resort activity schedule.
Our room was a studio with a safari view. A couple differences we noticed with the Club Level was Ghiradelli chocolates on our pillow and a print out of our plans from our My Disney Experience account. I really liked that personal touch. In the evening a Cast Member makes the bed and brings more chocolates.
Included with Club Level is a lounge that serves drinks and appetizers/snacks throughout the day. Sunrise offerings is 6:30am to 7:00am, breakfast from 7:00am to 10:30am, safari snacks 11:30am to 3:00pm, afternoon tea 3:00pm to 4:30pm, appertizers 5:00pm to 7:00pm and dessert 8:00pm to 10:00pm. For us, these offerings were more than enough to fill us up and we didn’t need to get food from the Mara.
Breakfast was a nice selection fresh fruit, cereals, bagels, toast, yogurt with various toppings, hard boiled eggs, pastries, muffins, and oatmeal with various toppings. Coffee, tea and juices including my favourite, Jungle Juice!
Dinner our first night included chicken nuggets, apples with caramel or peanut butter, ham and cheese pinwheels, strawberry goat cheese salad, various meats and cheeses, Indian breads and hummus, vegetables and dip. Beer and wine were also included as well as some Coca- Cola products. Coffee, tea and juices were still available as well. Our second night included many of the same offerings, however the chicken nuggets were replaced by corn dog nuggets and the ham and cheese pinwheels replaced by peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Dessert was my favourite! It included chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, rice crispy treats, cake cones, kettle chips, jelly beans, gummy bears and a build your own safari mix.
While we have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge before ( it is actually one of our home resorts), this was the first time staying Club Level. It will hard to go back to Regular Level. It was such a great experience and saved us money on food. I just wish they had Premium Mickey bars!
must be nice to stay at club level, but the rooms are always booked at my 11 month mark Wish we could stay once there…Oh well
We went last Sept. booked in May.
This is a pleasant review, but the build-your-own safari mix is in the afternoons, not for dessert, and you missed talking about the hot plated foods that the chef is creating for the appetizer time every night, which is the main draw for dinnertime.
Yes. That was the same with us! Once you do club level you cannot go back. We tried every club level in the deluxe resorts except for boardwalk villas and the new Coronado springs
my only comment would be, if you are at the Club Level, don’t get the dining plan. With the club food and dining plan, there is simply too much food and your club treats “spoil” your dinner appetite. Also, if you are going to all the club level snacks and treats, you are missing out on things you could be doing at the parks. The club level is very nice, I have done it once but probably won’t plan on doing it again, I don’t spend a lot of time at the resorts. the chocolate treats on my pillow every night was very nice, though
If you have guest visiting you there, can they come in the lounge with you?
No, only those who are listed on the reservation are permitted in the lounge.
Can you share costs for club level?
Were you able to purchase extra Fastpasses as you can when you stay regular club level or is that not possible for dvc club level?
Great informative review, thanks. My question is, is there a concierge cast member handy almost at all times? I always seem to spend half my holiday queuing in the concierge line, so not having to do this would be the big attraction for club level.
Is the club level service available since reopening?
Club level accommodations are not currently available. Guests booking these categories are being refunded the difference in points.
Any news regarding the opening of club level. We have a room booked in August for two nights.
