Boardwalk Villas Deluxe Studio Photo Tour
This July, Paul and I had a second opportunity to stay at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas for a few nights. During our second stay, we really fell in love with the Epcot resort area and hope to someday make either Boardwalk or Beach Club our third home resort. For our first Boardwalk stay, we were in a boardwalk view deluxe studio (2045) located above the Screen Door General Store. For our second stay, we had a garden/pool view deluxe studio (3055). This room overlooked Village Green and parts of the boardwalk as well. I’m going to use pictures from both to point out some subtle differences between the two studios.
Disney’s Boardwalk Villas is one of my top three resorts on property. The boardwalk itself is a fun place to visit with some solid food and beverage options. I find the buildings, lobby, rooms, and all around decor to be bright, cheery, and whimsical. It reminds me so much of our many summers spent along the Wildwood, NJ boardwalk. It’s also hard to beat the proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. There are just so many things to love about this resort.
The room itself has a charming style that I have come to love so much so that I recently sought out the closest thing I could find to what I call “Boardwalk Green” and painted our own bedroom with it. I enjoy the accents of red and bright green you get from the pillows, bed runner, floor lamp, and pictures. There is a queen sized bed, a queen sleeper sofa, and a table with chairs that flips down into a Murphy bed. With a sleeping capacity of five, a Boardwalk studio will actually sleep more than the 1 bedroom villa. If your room is a dedicated studio, it will have an accent chair as seen in the picture of room 3055. However, if your studio is a lock-off, there will be a door in that location as pictured below from room 2045. I liked the chair, but it wasn’t necessary to my enjoyment of the room. Without it, you may find more space for your suitcase. Next to the tv/table area is a chest of drawers offering a decent amount of storage for your belongings. There is charging space on the single nightstand between the bed and sofa.
Within the hallway space, you will find a kitchenette equipped with the same conveniences of all the DVC studios: microwave, mini fridge with a freezer section, Mr. Coffee maker, sink, toaster (this one being a double toaster), dishes, dish soap, coffee samples, and more. The little alcove area to the side of the kitchenette made for a great spot to store luggage. There is also a closet with a safe, ironing supplies, extra bed linens, hangers, and a sweeper.
Across from the kitchenette, you will find the bathroom area. A large sink sits outside the bathroom itself. While the bathroom is small compared to other DVC studios I have stayed in, there is decent storage space on the sink counter and inside its drawers. The mirror above the sink is both functional and a fitting decorative piece for the space.
The balconies at Disney’s Boardwalk resort can vary greatly. Our balcony for room 3055 was HUGE with a wonderful view of Village Green, the boardwalk, and Crescent Lake. This balcony was also very open and sunny. I noticed the balcony directly above us was quite small in comparison. Our balcony for room 2045 had a wall that required standing to see over and watch the boardwalk. It was also covered and felt much more private and shaded. I found that I enjoyed both balconies even though they were vastly different.
It is very difficult to find anything negative about Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. It is a beautiful resort with a great location. All of the cast members we encountered at the resort we friendly and helpful. Despite the popularity of the boardwalk area and the amount of people who visit it, both of our rooms were quiet and peaceful at night. In my opinion, the rooms here are a great value for your points and I find myself more and more daydreaming about my next Boardwalk Villas stay.
Love boardwalk. Great to wind down from the parks. Just to sit and watch the people is enjoyable.
We are actually DVC members at Saratoga Springs but find it extremely difficult to book back at our home base. Instead we seem to always booking into Boardwalk for relaxation and convenience to two of the parks without the crowded entrance.
