Disney’s Hilton Head Resort
Take a trip to the beautiful southern coast and experience the magic of a Disney Resort while doing it! This picturesque Disney resort is modeled after a 1940s era hunting and fishing lodge and was built in 1996. It is very characteristic of that deep southern charm you hear so much about. Nestled on South Carolina’s southernmost tip, it is only five hours away from Walt Disney World Resort. This vacation destination is on a 15-acre island filled with beautiful trees and vacation villas.
Guest Accommodations and Amenities
Whatever your needs may be for lodging, this Resort can fit your expectations. All of the rooms come with either view of the woodlands or of the water surrounding the island. You can choose from either a deluxe studio or a one, two, or three-bedroom villa arrangement depending on how many people are in your party. The deluxe studio can sleep up to four people. The one-bedroom villa can sleep up to five people. The two-bedroom villa can comfortably fit up to nine people. The three-bedroom villa can sleep up to 12 people.
As far as activities to do on the island, they are plentiful. Many of the programs and activities that the Resort offers are seasonal, so there will always be something new to try. Make sure that when you book, you try to get a good sense of what activities may be available during your stay. Additionally, if it’s beach relaxation that you are after, the Resort has a shuttle to take you to and from the 12 miles of white sandy beach on the Atlantic Ocean.
Additionally, you can attend a campfire with your family. Oftentimes, with the campfire, there are stories being told and sing-alongs for all to enjoy. If you feel like spending time around the Resort to go for a swim, then there are two pool options: the Little Dipper and the Big Dipper. The Little Dipper is tailored more toward the younger guests while the Big Dipper is home to Wraparound Water Tower Slide and the relaxing whirlpool spa.
Also, if its outdoor activity that you are after, you can play a round of golf at one of the 52 golf courses in the Hilton Head area or play a tennis match. Whatever vacation activities you want to explore, you can do so at Disney’s Hilton Head Resort.
